L'Quentus Thomas: A native Brooklynite, is a co-founder of the Brooklyn Crescents and has nearly 20 years of playing and coaching experience in the sport of lacrosse. In 2006 he was an assistant coach for the US Lacrosse U-15 B.R.I.D.G.E select team, which competed at the National Youth Festival in Orlando, FL. L'Quentus is a Graduate of the Trinity School (NYC) and Amherst College (MA), where he played Division 3 lacrosse for four years. He currently works for Stonehenge Capital.
Dan Sheff: Originally from Maplewood, NJ, is a co-founder of the Brooklyn Crescents. He graduated from Mount Saint Mary's College, where he played Division 1 lacrosse for 4 years as a defenseman. Since college, Dan has continued to actively play lacrosse, founding the Brooklyn Men’s Lacrosse Club. Dan works for HSBC Private Bank.
Jessica Lerman: A co-founder of the Brooklyn Crescents, has been playing and coaching lacrosse for 15 years. Originally from Penn Yan, NY, where her lacrosse team won the NY State high school championship, Jessica attended the University of Rochester, where she also played four years of Division 3 lacrosse, earning Regional All-American honors as at attack player. Jessica works for City Parks Foundation.
Susan Murray: One of the founding members and has coached with the Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse Club since the inaugural season. She has over eight years of coaching experience. Susan is originally from Newton, Massachusetts. She attended the University of Rochester where she was a captain of the lacrosse team and a four year varsity athlete. Susan currently works as a fundraiser and will complete her master's degree at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs in May 2009.
Pat Drennan: Originially from Jersey City, has been playing and coaching lacrosse for 28 yars. He graduated from the Stevens Institute of Technology, where he was a four year varsity athlete and captain of the lacrosse team. Pat played in the USILA North-South All Star game. Post college, he continued to play lacrosse with various club teams incuding the Philadelphia and Marin Lacrosse Clubs, and he also started the high school program at St. Peter's Prep. Pat is also a certified hockey coach and has been coaching youth baseball and soccer since 2000. Professionally, Pat is an Information Technology Consultant.
Judy Fong: Originally from Long Island, NY, Judy has over 17 years of playing experience. She played Division 1 lacrosse at Stanford University and continues to play with the Gotham Women’s Lacrosse Club, a post-collegiate team based in NYC. She has coached youth lacrosse for over 5 years and has been actively involved with the sport on a national level as a member of both the US Lacrosse B.R.I.D.G.E. Committee and Women’s Division Post-Collegiate Club Council. Judy is currently finishing her final year of medical school and applying for a residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
Ken Brady: Played high school lacrosse at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH and in college at the University of Denver (BA). He has coached for 12 years; in New Hamshire (Nashua Youth Lacrosse), Colorado (Aspen High School) and now in Brooklyn. He lives in Williamsburg, works as a cook, and enjoys mountain biking, skiing and hiking.
Kassim Howell: A co-founder of the Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse Club, Kassim is originally from Rochester NY, and attended the University of Rochester. At the University of Rochester Kassim was a four year letter winner, named to the freshman All- American team, 1st team All- Conference all four years and voted team captain in his senior year for the Yellowjackets football team. He currently works at iMentor and is a volunteer varsity football coach for Brooklyn Technical High School.
Joe Nocella: Joe played HS lacrosse at Croton-Harmon (NY) and started collegiate career at Division 1 Drexel. Joe then moved to Division 3 CCNY, where he was the Captain and 2-time Team and League MVP, and where he still holds the team record for goals in a game (10). Joe went on to lead teams (Captain, MVP) at the U. of Missouri and the U. of Kansas in the rough and tumble Big 8 (later Big 12) Club Lacrosse League. Joe is a board member of St Francis Youth Sports, and is a long time baseball, football and AYSO soccer coach. Joe's day job is as a senior architect at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM). He also owns and operates a bike shop and teaches at Pratt.
Dan Casey: A native Brooklynite, Daniel played lacrosse for Poly Prep Country Day School for 6 years and was selected to the NY Metro All-Stars his senior year. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004, working in Washington, DC for four years, and spending a year a half overseas in the United Arab Emirates Daniel returned to Brooklyn and began coaching with the Brooklyn Crescents in the fall of 2009.
Helen Dodderidge: With three years coaching experience and having played for over 15 years, Helen has been with the Crescents since the spring 2009 season. She attended Syracuse University playing varsity her first year, though finished out her remaining years as the president of the school's club team. Helen works in advertising at Glow Interactive and lives in Manhattan
Wes Jackson: Wes is one of the co-founders of the Crescents. A native New Yorker He started playing in 9th grade at The Buckley School. Fed up with baseball Wes picked up lacrosse because his football coach happened to also be the lacrosse coach. Wes continued to play at The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey where he little did he know he competed against fellow coach Dan Sheff's Columbia team. Wes played a little club at UVa then lost touch with the game. Years later he met L'Quentus and then Dan playing on various club teams in NY and NJ. L'Quentus drafted Wes into the coaching ranks and the rest is history. Wes runs several businesses in downtown Brooklyn including Brooklyn Bodega and The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival.
